The Houston Nature Center is located at the eastern end of the Root River Trail in beautiful Houston, Minnesota 1 block north of the intersection of Hwys. 16 and 76, on West Plum Street.

Visit our "programs link" to learn about the many fun and educational programs we have planned for this season. These are perfect for the whole family and give everyone the opportunity to enjoy nature and learn more about the great outdoors.

Construction of our new nature center was completed in July 2001. Watch as our displays and program offerings grow and change.

We carry a small line of T-shirts (featuring you-know-hoooooooooo), postcards and books for sale. We also offer information about local bird watching, and can tell you where you can eat, camp, shop, and what there is to do in the area.
